FAQ
History is a story. I story made up of facts. Have you ever watched a movie that you enjoyed and the ending credits said "Based on a true story"? Did that movie not just get that much more awesome because it was true!? History is just that, a true story. However, history is also much more. We look at the past to understand today and tomorrow. Why is America involved in world affairs? How was ISIS created? Why do our coins say "In God We Trust"? History is a great way to take interesting concepts and stories and use them to think critically about the past. What better way to understand life and its events than to observe lives and events that already happened?

I don't get it, what can I do?
Can I do extra credit or make up a test?
You will have several opportunities to boost your grade. Doing extra work will get you extra credit. Additionally, review sheets count as extra credit. If you took a test and received a bad grade, you can get a one time substitute assignment each quarter to swap the grade. You will not take a retest. There are no test corrections, but the alternate assignment will be a teacher made writing prompt on the unit we tested. Directions will be given when the prompt is given.

Do you want a good grade and pass the final exam? If you answered yes, then yes. If you answered no, then no.
Do I have to do the pre-work?
Do you have to use soap when you shower? Yes you do. When you review your notes and all you see is "To set the course for the Civil War and outline the expectations of our country." will you remember what the question you answered was? When you write in a complete sentence and simply say "Lincoln wrote the Gettysburg Address to set the course for the Civil War and outline the expectations of our country." you will have a complete set of notes. Plus I will know what the question you were answering was!
